For 140 years Wyong Race Club has been a long established and integral fixture in the Wyong district. It hosts around 22 race meets a year and now boasts some of th best training facilties and surfaces for Thoroughbred racing. Wyong’s new Polytrack opened for business on 12th May, and this new synthetic, all weather training track will prove be a valuable addition to the training facilities. Some 35 horses worked on the track on opening morning in a planned, low key introduction. Reports from riders were very positive. The club acknowledges the significant funding support it has received from Racing NSW towards the $4.2m cost.
