BALLARAT RACECOURSE ADDS NEW, SYNTHETIC MARTIN COLLINS POLYTRACK™
International equestrian surface manufacturer, Martin Collins Australia have just been appointed as the contractor for development of Ballarat Racecourse's new synthetic racetrack.
Polytrack surfaces are used as racecourse and training track surfaces around the world. In Australia, Martin Collins has installed Polytrack courses at Caulfield, Mornington, Canterbury Park, Hawkesbury, Pakenham and Godolphin’s Osbourne Park, and they are currently replacing Royal Randwick’s dirt course.
The installation of a Polytrack™ at Ballarat will further elevate its status as one of the premier training facilities in Australia.
Ballarat wanted to ensure that the quality, safety and durability of the surface was a top priority, hence making the decision to use BHA approved Martin Collins Polytrack™.
“The Polytrack is the next step in the ongoing growth and improvement of our Training Centre and will further improve what is already one of the leading training centres in Australia,” Ballarat Turf Club CEO Lachlan McKenzie explained.
